Strauss Haus Baxter at 7 months!

Jessica sent along some new pictures of Baxter (formerly Blue Boy, Baker) at seven months, so I thought I would post them here! He looks a LOT like his momma Kyrie, and obviously enjoys all the snow they just got in New York!

Pups at Six Months!

Well we FINALLY got time to do an update! Welcome to the Kyrie/Piston litter at six months. :) All of these photos were taken between four and six months, though most are very recent. We hope you enjoy seeing how the pups are doing in their new homes! Thanks to everyone for sending photos and the great comments on how the pups are doing. :)

RED COLLAR BOY SAMMY (PREVIOUSLY BOOMER)

Sammy lives down near Houston. He goes to all sorts of places with his family, including riding in the golf cart! He appears to be the tallest of the pups so far (he has been biggest since eight weeks) judging from the photos. His mom Liz says, "It's amazing how good he is at such a young age - no barking, no digging, no jumping up on people, brave and social but he understands where we draw the line. We get so many comments from people on how good, smart, good looking he is. He is flat out a great dog."

BROWN COLLAR BOY ASLAN (PREVIOUSLY BROWNIE) Aslan lives south of us by a few hours with his family. He is very bonded to his three kids and mom Diana! Aslan got his first point toward his Puppy Championship a couple months back and we are hoping that he'll continue to do well in the ring! His mom, Diana, says that Aslan is great with kids and people he doesn't know. He was always a tail-wagging friendly pup!

BLUE BOY BAXTER (PREVIOUSLY BAKER)

Baker has settled into his place in New York at the new home of Strauss Haus Shepherds! He loves to play with "the girls" including Elektra, Kalamity, and Dutchess. He is mostly in motion, so Jessica didn't get shots that weren't blurry...but hopefully you get the idea! She says he is very solid and broad, especially for his age! He may be the heaviest pup even if he is not as leggy as Sammy. :)

WHITE BOY BULLET MCNABB

Bullet lives up north and east a ways with his new mom and dad and two bulldogs. Lately he has also had his mom Kristen's son's lab pup to play with--err, chew on? Kristen says that he is coming along very well and that they can see him turning into an amazing dog. And a photogenic one--we always thought he had a nice head, and he's sure turning out handsome!

PURPLE GIRL BENELLI (THE RAVENOUS BELLI)

Belli lives very close to us in Lake Dallas and comes over for play-dates with her sister, mom, and half-siblings! :) It is wonderful to be able to see her grow up. Her family is very much in love with her and her mom Lisa sends me frequent updates. Now if only they could get her to stop eating everything in sight (fat chance, Belli says!)!

PINK GIRL BLAZIE

Blazie is still with us at Sparta Shilohs and growing up into a wonderful girl with an absolutely perfect temperament! She has started her illustrious show career off on a good paw with two big rosettes already, and is about to start her health testing to see if she will be carrying on the Sparta tradition in a year and a half or so!

You can see more Blazie at six months photos over at her blog: Sparta's Blaze of Glory! We hope you enjoyed our update, everyone! All the pups are doing great and we are so thankful for the wonderful families they have found. :) Tune in next time to see more on how they've grown!!

The Pups From 8 to 12 Weeks!

Well I finally got a moment to update this blog with all the great photos that the pups' new families have been sending! A BIG thank you to everyone for all the updates--Zak and I love getting them. :)

First off we have Sammy, previously Boomer! He lives with his new family down in the Houston area. Here he is after his first trip to PetSmart:

Bringing back his rope toy:
After he took a leap into the lake after some fish...
With his new kitty friend!
Lovin' some belly rubs...
And getting BIG!

Next we have Aslan, previously Brownie!

Aslan lives a ways south of us here in Texas! He has his own blog and has been getting into lots of trouble. ;) You can read about his antics here:

Aslan The Great's Blog!

Next is Bullet, who went up north a ways and now resides east of Omaha, NE. Bullet lives with his people and two bulldogs--ironic that my nickname for him was "Bully"! Bullet's new persona is Bullet McNabb, hard-drinking (well, water, anyway...) private eye!

Here's Bullet in his Official Baby Picture:

Trying to convince one of his new packmates that really, he's better than a chew toy...
Cuddling up with his new friends!
Nice to have a pillow when you need one. Being a detective is hard work!
Where's mom off to? Oh, and yes...I'm getting bigger!

Next is Blazie!

We kept her, of course. :) Her new registered name will be Sparta's Blaze of Glory and she has her very own blog where you can see photos of her as she grows and keep up with her adventures. Very soon she'll be up on our Sparta Shilohs website, and later this month she'll be on the road to her very first dog show!

Blazie's Blog!

Next is Belli, who is keeping her name (Benelli) and lives very close to us here in North Texas!

Belli has her own blog also, with lots of great pictures and stories! You can see it here:

Benelli's World!

And finally, Baker, now Baxter (aka "Tigger" after his show ring antics with me in New York!)!

Here's Baxter with his new mom, Jessica Strauss of Strauss Haus Shepherds!

Kyrie/Piston LER Photos!

Thanks are in order for my hubby, Zak, the other half of Sparta Shilohs! Without his deft handling of both Skype and the camera, we wouldn't have gotten these few quick shots of the pups being set up for their conformation exams!

Baker was rated potential Breed quality. We may let him go Pet-Up to see how he turns out. He is a wonderful boy who showed confidence, sociability and smarts during his LER! He is still looking for a home--if you think you could fall in love with this boy, we will be putting up a blog entry with more information about him next. :)

Little Belle's people will be keeping her name! They live just five or ten minutes away from us in Lake Dallas, so be ready for some play-date pictures in the coming months once it gets cooler down here! Here Belli is having her ear set and shape checked. :)

Blazie proved to be the girl we kept for our own, to carry on Kyrie's genes. She is very like her momma--a bright, spirited girl with a real spark in her eye! Here you can see her posing much more nicely than her rambunctious brothers! ;)

Blazie has her very own blog now! You can see it at: Blazie the ISSR Shiloh Shepherd!

Boomer went to a fantastic family only a handful of hours away here in Texas, down in Houston! He has kids to play with, a cat of his own to slobber on--err, give kisses to, I mean...and has already begun having adventures with his new people. So far he is taking every new thing, person and animal in stride! :)

Brownie is even closer than Boomer and we hope to see him at the shows!! He went to a family just a few hours south of us, nearer to Austin. He has three brand-new kids to play with and is having a wonderful time!

Bullet just went to his new home today, in Iowa! Somewhat ironically, the pup we nicknamed "Bulldog Bully" is going to be living in a family with English bulldogs! We can't wait to hear what his new family thinks of him. :)

Thanks so much for sticking with us from conception to conclusion on our Puppy Odyssey, everyone!! Just like with our Kyrie/Leo litter blog, we'll be continuing to post updates here as we get new photos from our pups' families!

The Pups at Seven Weeks!

Our apologies for falling behind in our pupdates! So much is happening during the space from week seven to week eight (leading up to the pups' litter evaluation) that we just never seemed to have enough time in the day...but here with are with just a few photos of the pups at seven weeks. :)

Momma Kyrie was VERY happy to finally get out of her Cone of Shame! She was able to play with the pups outside briefly before they went off to their new homes this week. All the pups are now in their new homes except for Blazie, who we kept:

...and Baker, who still needs a forever home!

Belli, always the innovative sleeper, in her trademark upside-down position:

All the pups love to chew, and would steal the big dogs' bones even though their teeth couldn't impact the hard plastic!

We are really going to miss these pups. We can only be grateful that so many of their new puppy people are keeping in excellent touch with us, so we can continue to watch them grow!!

Bullet just went off to his new home today...we miss our little guy! The longer they stay with you, the more attached you get. :)

Thank you for enriching our lives for the last eight weeks, puppies! Have fun in your new forever homes!!

Thanks for reading, everyone! Next up: the few LER photos we managed to get, thanks to my hubby Zak and his quick camera-work! :)
